i would like to know what rides and or shows will be shut down for refurbishing on the dates of may 2nd to the 10th. for magic kingdom

Hi, June!   During your May vacation, it looks like there will be a few closings in the Magic Kingdom.  The big news is that Space Mountain will be closing in April and will be closed for most of 2009.  Because of the refurbishment of Space Mountain, the Tomorrowland Transit Authority will have shortened hours since this ride goes right through the Space Mountain building.

Also closed is Hall of Presidents.  This attraction is scheduled to reopen in July.

All closings are subject to change.  To keep updated on refurbishments around Walt Disney World, go to to and search "REHABS."  You can then look month by month at scheduled closings.

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
