Hi Dana! You must be so excited that your Walt Disney World vacation begins in less than a month! February is a wonderful time to visit the Walt Disney World Resort.
The Epcot International Festival of the Arts will be in full swing, and is a lovely way to spend an afternoon or evening.
Let's talk about
Magic Kingdom attractions first. To view the park hours and operating status of attractions during your trip, I recommend visiting the official
Park Hours page and selecting your dates. Currently during your visit, the
Walt Disney World Railroad as well as
Splash Mountain are closed for refurbishment. Disappointing as it may be to miss out on that classic steam train ride around the Magic Kingdom and zany log flume adventure, it looks like there will be plenty to do during your Magic Kingdom days. I also noticed that on Friday during your vacation, the Magic Kingdom offers morning
Extra Magic Hours if you are a guest of an onsite
Walt Disney World Resort Hotel or select
Disney Springs Resort Area Hotel. My family loves to take advantage of this unique benefit to extend our time in the theme parks and experience lower crowd levels.
Next let's discuss options for your husband. I know that the distances we cover during theme park trips can be exhausting. Fortunately, there are ways to take fewer steps at Walt Disney World. When visiting the Magic Kingdom, ride share services such as Uber, pick-up and drop-off at the Transportation and Ticket Center - so you would first have to exit the park and board a monorail or ferry boat to reach your ride. If you are a guest of an onsite Walt Disney World Resort, I suggest taking advantage of
Disney Minnie Van Service Connected by Lyft. This service will transport your party of up to six people anywhere within the Walt Disney World Resort. Bonus: at the Magic Kingdom, the drop-off and pick-up point for Minnie Van Service is located very close to the park entrance, in the Magic Kingdom bus transportation area. This location is subject to change, so be sure to speak with a Cast Member if you have questions about its current location.
I hope that answers your questions, Dana, and that you have a magical stay!
