I know that reservations are STRONGLY encouraged for dining at WDW... can you just eat at the walk up casual dining places? I'm not seeing anyone address this and I need to know so I can plan for our June trip. Thank you.

You can definitely eat at the counter service restaurants by walking up when you are ready for your meal.

It is the waitress service restaurants (sometimes called table service or sit down restaurants) that almost always require Advance Dining Reservations. This is especially true during busier times of the year, including during your June trip.

To maximize your touring time and avoid long lines at quick service meals, try to eat early or late. Dining for lunch at 11-11:30 a.m. will help beat the crowds and get you back to touring the parks while others are standing in lines for their meals. Eating early also gives you access to cleaner, more readily available tables!

I would recommend Pecos Bill at the Magic Kingdom, Backlot Express at Hollywood Studios, Flame Tree BBQ at Animal Kingdom and the Cantina de San Angel in Epcot. These are just a few of our favorite stops for re-fueling and resting!
