Hello there, Dan!
Welcome to
planDisney, and thank you for sending us this great question. If you’re excited about the upcoming reopening of the Disneyland Resort theme parks, you’re certainly not alone. I’m also anxiously awaiting the day I can return to the Happiest Place on Earth and soak in more Disney magic!
As you mentioned, a new reservation system will be in place when Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park prepare to welcome Guests back, and theme park attendance will be limited to California residents. Details about how this system will work haven’t been announced just yet. Check the
Disney Parks Blog often in the coming weeks for up-to-date information about when and how Guests can make theme park and dining reservations.
Guests who had a multi-day ticket and used their first visit between February 20, 2020 and March 13, 2020 but were not able to use all of their ticket’s allotted days before the theme parks closed still have options to visit this year. Eligible tickets will have the expiration date extended to December 16, 2021, so there’s still plenty of time for you and your daughter to finish the
birthday celebration that was put on hold! Expiration dates for eligible tickets should be updated now, so try linking your tickets to your Disney account on
Disneyland.com or the
Disneyland mobile app to check the current expiration date. If you have any issues doing this or have more questions, you can call (714) 781-4636 for live assistance.
I hope this information is helpful and that you’re able to plan a Disneyland Resort vacation soon. If you have any additional questions once we know more about the theme park reservation system, please don’t hesitate to stop by planDisney again.
Wishing you magic,
Courtney
