Welcome, Randee, to planDisney! As Miranda Priestly explained during the cerulean sweater debate in
The Devil Wears Prada, choices that may seem small at first, like deciding whether to stay in a Disney Vacation Club villa, can end up making a big impact.
As you know, non-members can reserve
Disney Vacation Club villas, but members receive priority access. Availability for non-members usually opens about six months prior to the arrival date. Please note that there is no guarantee a specific room type at a specific resort will become available, as rooms may already be booked by members, leaving limited amounts available for non-members. I would recommend checking back around that six-month timeframe to give yourself the best chance of getting the room you'd like. After all, as Andy Sachs learned while navigating the world of high fashion, timing can make all the difference.
One thing I love about being a
Disney Vacation Club member is that I’m almost guaranteed a visit each year. Those rooms truly feel like a home away from home, especially the 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom, and 3-bedroom villas. Our home resort is
Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort, and when I stay there, it feels like I have an apartment right across from
Magic Kingdom Park. It’s pretty awesome. Honestly, unpacking and settling in after a park day feels a little "everybody wants this" in the best possible way.
Randee, best wishes for a vacation with a home base that truly feels like home. And remember, Nigel, the fashion editor with a heart of gold, believed the right style could make you feel confident and at home anywhere. And Disney magic has a way of doing exactly that. If you have any other questions,
don’t hesitate to reach out again!
That's all,
Matt
