Hello, I know reservations are accepted 60 days in advance; since I am planning to visit on January 15th/16th, I was just wondering what time of day on October 15th/16th does the ability to make reservations open?

    Hello Dalton,

Thanks for visiting us here at planDisney.

It sounds like you're going to start your Happy New Year at "The Happiest Place on Earth." I think beginning your year with a magical visit to the Disneyland Resort is a fantastic idea!

You're correct that dining reservations at the Disneyland Resort can be offered starting at 60 days in advance.  You can look at the list of Disneyland Resort restaurants where dining reservations can be made online. You can also use the Disneyland Resort mobile app for making dining reservations.

Dalton, it's helpful to know as you make your dining reservation plans that currently there isn't a specific time of day or specific day when reservation opportunities are posted for searching and selecting. Instead, what we're seeing recently is that reservation opportunities can be posted at any time for searching and selecting. What this means for your planning is that you can begin looking for dining reservations starting at 60 days, and that the availability of reservations can vary, so you'll want to plan to keep checking back if you don't see a reservation available for selection.

You'll also want to stay up to date with the Disney Parks Blog. It's a fun way to keep in the know about all the magic that awaits you at the Disneyland Resort.

Here's wishing you a fun and wonderful visit to the Disneyland Resort, Dalton!

Meet the Panelist: Jerry, Pennsylvania

The playful and creative optimism of all things Disney has enthralled me since I was a kid. I loved watching "The Wonderful World of Disney" on Sunday nights, seeing all the live-action and animated classics in theaters, and — of course — visiting "The Most Magical Place on Earth" for the first time 45 years ago. These days, the big kid in me still loves to play Disney. As a long-time Disney destinations vacationer, I'm looking forward to helping you play Disney starting here at planDisney!
