Autumn from TX Asked Note: This answer was provided prior to the change to planDisney and may still contain references to Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

I know this question has been asked a thousand times already, but are specific months that usually have lower crowds? Also, someone told me that there was a way of looking online to see how crowded the park was going to be, any truth to that? Thanks.

    Autumn:

Thanks for coming to the panel for our thoughts!

Generally speaking, the slowest times of the year follow the dates that Disney sets as their Value Season when rates are lowest: mid-January to mid-February; mid-August to the end of September; and mid-November to mid-December except for the week around Thanksgiving.

Your friend was right: there are several crowd forecasting sites on the web.  I tend to use the "Crowd Calendar" feature at www.touringplans.com first because other sites charge for their content without allowing you to sample the site.  Touringplans.com gives you access to most of their features and the ability to upgrade for a more reasonable fee than other sites, too.  Be aware that you'll only be able to look at their crowd calendar for about a month out, otherwise, you'll need to buy a year subscription to the site or a recent copy of the Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Whitney, Mississippi

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
