Welcome to planDisney, Carrie.
If you're thinking of planning a trip to The Most Magical Place on Earth, you've come to the right place. My planDisney pals and I love nothing more than helping fellow Guests plan their next Disney adventure.
I'm a Disney dad with two young Mousketeers and so I know a thing or two about which theme parks are best for little ones. Personally, I think Magic Kingdom Park is the best park for young kids There are so many attractions for them to enjoy, including Dumbo the Flying Elephant. I've put together a list of other kid-friendly attractions for you:
- "it's a small world."
- Prince Charming Regal Carrousel
- Jungle Cruise
- The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
- Under the Sea ~ Journey of The Little Mermaid
- Mad Tea Party
- Peter Pan's Flight
- Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin
- The Magic Carpets of Aladdin
- Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room
- Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover
- Walt Disney World Railroad
Don't get me wrong, the other theme parks are also great for kids. EPCOT is my second favorite park for kids, with attractions such as Frozen Ever After, Remy's Ratatouille Adventure, Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros, Journey Into Imagination With Figment, and The Seas With Nemo & Friends.
However, suppose your child would prefer exploring the wilderness of Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. In that case, there are attractions like Kilimanjaro Safaris, Na’vi River Journey, and It’s Tough To Be A Bug, and amazing shows like Festival of the Lion King and Finding Nemo: The Big Blue... and Beyond.
Disney's Hollywood Studios is my least favorite park for kids. However, it does have Toy Story Land and my little ones loved Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway, Lightning McQueen's Racing Academy, and Disney Junior Play and Dance.
So you really can't go wrong, Carrie. However, if you have to choose, I would prioritize Magic Kingdom Park.
When it comes to purchasing tickets, you'll have to wait until 2024 tickets are released. I anticipate this being towards the end of spring 2023. Once they are released, you'll be able to see prices for a one-day ticket. Until then, keep checking Disney Parks Blog for announcements about booking for 2024.
I hope that's helpful, Carrie. Please stop by planDisney again if you have any other questions.
Mike
