I know prices change yearly, but I am starting to plan my 40th birthday at WDW, involving international travel on 7 people. Is the time of year cost fairly uniform-- i.e. if Feb 2021 is less than Mar 2021, can I assume Feb 2022 will be proportional?

Hi, Catherine!  Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney!  It's always a pleasure to help a fellow Pennsylvanian plan their magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation!

In addition to being from the same state, it looks like you and I have some other things in common as well.  I also celebrated my 40th birthday at The Most Magical Place on Earth.  It was the best day ever!  It seems like you and I also have the same philosophy when it comes to planning a Walt Disney World Resort vacation.  It's never too early to start dreaming about your next adventure!

Planning early gives you plenty of time to do your resEARch.  You can start looking into which Walt Disney World Resort Hotel you'd like to call your home away from home.  You also have plenty of time to create a list of everyone's must-do attractions and must-try dining experiences.  By the time you're able to book that future trip, you'll have designed a vacation that's practically perfect in every way!

In the past, vacation packages for the upcoming year have become available to book during the summer months.  For example, in June 2020, Guests were able to begin booking vacation packages for the earlier parts of 2021.  To find out when your desired 2022 dates are available to book, I recommend keeping an eye on the Disney Parks Blog and checking the Walt Disney World website as we head into next summer.

Although prices are always subject to change, taking a look at vacation prices for the current year is a good way to have a rough estimate of what your trip might cost.  Prices vary from year to year, but due to the spring break and Easter holidays, March vacation packages are typically priced a bit higher than packages booked for February.  If you're looking to save money on your February trip, I would avoid President's Day weekend, as well as any weekend when a runDisney event is scheduled.  Be sure to also bookmark the Special Offers page to check for any available deals and discounts.

As you dream of your magical birthday celebration, be sure to take a look at the Enchanting Extras Collection for some ways to add a little extra pixie dust to your special day.  If we can answer any other questions for you as you plan your trip, please visit us again.

    See ya real soon!
