    i know it's possible to get a room upgrade @ checkin just by asking nicely. Is it ever possible to get a resort upgrade (value to moderate or moderate to value) @ checkin? Family of 5 w/ 2 adults & 3 kids- 12, 8, & 5 heading to WDW Aug. 2012.

    Now that would be something!

    I have never heard of anyone ever receiving a Resort upgrade upon check-in at a Disney Resort Hotel. Whilst you can never say never, I would think the chances of that happening are slim to none and so would advise you not get your hopes up and to make a reservation at a Resort that you are happy with.
