I know that pool hopping is not normally allowed. However can Port Orleans French Quarter pool hop to Riverside?

    Hi Tami,

You're asking about a couple of my favorite Walt Disney World resorts. I love the intimate New Orleans feel of Port Orleans French Quarter and the quiet, shady ambiance of Port Orleans Riverside. Both have great pools and, as a guest at either of the adjacent, sister resorts, you are welcome to use them all.

The main pool at French Quarter -- Doubloon Lagoon -- features a cool sea serpent slide and a water play area. The pools at Port Orleans Riverside range from quiet pools located throughout the resort to the Ol' Man Island pool complex, complete with fishing hole.

There's a wide sidewalk along the Sassagoula River that connects the two resorts, and it takes just about 10 minutes to walk between them. Besides swimming, you also may want to visit Port Orleans Riverside to dine at Boatwright's Dining Hall or to catch YeHaa Bob Jackson's family-friendly variety show in the River Roost Lounge.

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Tami. Please let us know if you have any other questions about the fabulous Port Orleans resorts or about planning your Walt Disney World vacation. We're always happy to help. Enjoy!
