Do you know if Planet Hollywood is crowded during the week?

    Hi Stacie!

Great question about the crowds at Planet Hollywood. I've dined there a bunch of times and I've noticed that, like most of the other restaurants in Downtown Disney, it's not too crowded if you opt for an earlier dinner (say, 5:30 or earlier).  After 5:30, it's been my personal experience that the crowd levels start to swell in the restaurants and along the shopping promenade.

If you're not down with the idea of eating an early dinner, then I wouldn't worry too much. It's been my experience that the service moves pretty quickly through Planet Hollywood, so tables turn over pretty quickly. Plus, if you have to wait for your table, there's a lot of cool stuff to gawk at on the walls!

However, if your question is more related to the noise that comes from a crowded restaurant, then I would strongly suggest that you opt for an earlier seating time at Planet Hollywood. When the house is full, it can get pretty loud in there.

With respect to the days of the week and the crowd levels, I have a real hard time offering a definitive answer. From speaking to a bunch of locals on this topic, they've said that Downtown Disney, overall, tends to be more crowded on the weekends because the locals like to hangout there. I've never seen any official crowd counts or other data that supports that, so I can't verify whether it really makes that big of a difference.

I hope that helps! If you should have any other dining-related questions (because I love talking about the food at Walt Disney World!), please feel free to send them my way and I'll be happy to help in any way that I can!

    Best regards,
    Derek
