Genie+. Well, your wish is granted… we're at your service, and no lamp rubbing is needed!
Genie+ is a new service that guests can purchase to maximize their time in the parks by bypassing the standby lines offered at more than 40 attractions and experiences. There are two ways to buy it: In advance with a ticket or vacation package for the entire length of your ticket, OR you can buy it anew with
My Disney Experience at the start of each day.
Vacation packages do not automatically include Disney Genie+ as it is an add-on option and not something packages come with by default. If you think you may have added the service, though, visit the "My Plans" page of your My Disney Experience account. Then click on the "Tickets and Memory Maker" section of that page; you should see your tickets there with the Disney Genie+ name listed if the service has already been added. If you're still unsure, call the
Internet Help Desk so they can look into your account. You can reach them at (407) 939-4357. Cast Members are available from 7:00 AM until 11:00 PM EST, seven days a week.
One of my favorite Disney Genie+ features is the
AR (augmented reality) Photo Pass Lenses. My kids and I had so much fun using these in the Parks. Some of the lenses will remain accessible in your app until the 45th day after using your Disney Genie+ service purchase! From my experience, though, using your phone at the Parks to snap all these fun photos, make Disney Genie+ selections, checking park maps and wait times, etc., will drain your battery. Be sure to fully charge your phone and bring an extra portable charger with you.
