Do you know if they still pipe in music at the Polynesian Beach when the fireworks at magic kingdom are for the Not So Scary Halloween Party? I'm hoping to grab an ice cream after dinner one night on my honeymoon and watch the fireworks from the beach :)

    Hey Mary-

Welcome back, so glad to see you again.  Congratulations on you upcoming honeymoon trip! You are so lucky to start your marriage marveling at Mickey Mouse’s magic. September is the most wonderful time of the year at Walt Disney World Resort. Perfect weather, perfect crowd level and my favorite perfect special event, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. There is nothing like a Boo-To-You Parade, Disney villains are aplenty and the über spectacular magic in the sky show known as HalloWishes. The whole event is spooktacular. We were there last year and heard and saw HalloWishes from the terrace of Disney’s Contemporary Resort just outside of the California Grill. The next night we got to experience it live in front of the “Partners” statue featuring Mickey Mouse and Walt Disney. Absolutely stunning.

If you want to enjoy a Mickey’s Premium Ice Cream Bar on the beach you will be able to see the fireworks but may not be able to hear the musical accompaniment. Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is under renovation and some perks of the beach are on vacation but should likely return by your special trip. A tiny tiki told me that the speakers are throughout the beach area and you should be able to hear the fireworks spectacular music once the renovation is complete. One place you may hear it, is outside of Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto. Tiki experts tell me the exact location is Trader Sam’s Tiki Terrace. So grab a tropical beverage from Sam on the terrace and then relax in the South Pacific with your ice cream while enjoying the best fireworks from the Most Magical Place on Earth.

Congrats and have a wonderful honeymoon!

    Enjoy making many Magical Memories!
