I know people's plans change in this day of COVID-19. Is there a waiting list that might allow us into the Magic Kindom on New Year's Eve should capacity change? Where do we find it and hw do we get on it?

Welcome back to planDisney, Brooke! I'm so glad to be able to answer your question today. The holiday season is my favorite time of the year to visit Walt Disney World Resort and it's so exciting that you're going to get to experience that magic for yourself when you take your trip at the end of this year. The Theme Parks and Resort Hotels will be fully decorated for Christmas and that extra layer of pixie dust has been sprinkled everywhere you look. New Year's Eve is always a party to remember at The Most Magical Place On Earth and even though this year may look a little different, there is still so much to celebrate so let's chat about Disney Park Pass reservations and what to do when the Theme Park you want to visit is out of available spots for the day.

One of the things I love so much about making vacation plans using My Disney Experience is that they're flexible, and that includes Disney Park Pass reservations. Guests are changing their plans all the time, so it is possible that you could still find availability at Magic Kingdom Park this New Year's Eve. While there isn't a waiting list, the best advice I can give you is to check back as frequently as you're willing to. I recently went on vacation with a friend who joined us later in the planning process when Disney's Hollywood Studios had run out of reservations for the day we were going, and she was able to get lucky and find one by refreshing the app a few times a day to see if the availability has changed. As I'm writing to you now, Disney's Animal Kingdom still has availability for December 31, so go ahead and make that booking if you haven't already. You can always cancel it if something else becomes available, but spending the last day of the year with the animals on Kilimanjaro Safaris sounds pretty fun to me!

    Have a magical day, Brooke!
