I know in the past, you could use quick service meal credits at Epcot festivals by getting 3 snacks to make it a "meal" credit. Is that the case this year as well? We are going next week and plan to spend a lot of time at Epcot trying the food.

    Hiya Meg,

Welcome to planDisney! Just like you, a lot of my trips center around trying snacks at EPCOT, so one of my favorite uses of a snack credit has to be the festival booths at EPCOT’s festivals. I’ve already gotten a chance to try a few of the selections at EPCOT International Festival of the Arts, and you are in for a treat. The BBQ Chicken Pizza at Connections Eatery and the Deconstructed Key Lime Pie were my favorites, and I cannot wait to go back in a few weeks to try some more.

What a great question, though, Meg. I wasn’t a huge dining plan user in the past, but I’ve heard a lot about the ability to convert quick-service meals into snack credits and vice versa. Unfortunately, when the dining plans returned, the ability to exchange credits did not return. You can only use your snack credits for snacks, and your quick service meal credits for quick service meals. The good news is that the festival bites at Connections Eatery (the BBQ Chicken Pizza, which is massive, and Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich) do count towards quick service meals, so if those are on your must-try list, you will be able to use a quick service meal or two for that.

I hope this was helpful, Meg. Before I let you go, I know you mentioned you may already have a plan for what is on your must-try list for EPCOT, but just in case, I wanted to share the Foodie Guide for the festival. I’ve been using it to plan my snacks, and with so many amazing options, it's been incredibly helpful. Please come back and see us if you need anything else (including recommendations for must-trys), and have an amazing trip!

    Happy Planning,
