    Do you have to know if you are participating in the Disney dining plan to make restaurant reservations? Can you make the reservation and then have it apply to your dining plan after the fact?

    Hi, Amy!   You can make your Dining Reservations with our without the Dining Plan, and if you add the plan after making your reservations, simply tell your server that you are on the plan before ordering your meal.  When you make your Advance Dining Reservations, they will ask you if you are on a Dining Plan, but it is no problem to add it on.   Just make sure that if you decide to add on the Dining Plan, you do so at least 3 days prior to your arrival.

    To add the Dining Plan to an existing resort reservation, call (407)W-DISNEY.  Have your confirmation number handy.   To make your Advance Dining Reservations, you can do this online or by calling (407)WDW-DINE up to 180 days in advance of your vacation.
