Boo to you, Sarah! Thanks for bringing your spook-tacular question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
It’s hard to believe January is here, and we’re looking forward to the year ahead! I'm also a fan of
Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort, so I’d be happy to help answer your question! I had the chance to attend
Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party last year, and I had so much fun dashing around and collecting candy with my son. As for dressing up, adult costumes are only allowed inside
Disney California Adventure Park for Oogie Boogie Bash, as long as they follow the
Costume Guidelines. During the Party, Guests ages 14 or older may wear capes that don’t go below the waist, themed clothing and accessories, and headwear that doesn’t cover the face. Masks are not allowed.
Inside
Disneyland Park, and during non-party hours at Disney California Adventure Park, the regular
Disneyland Resort Rules apply, which means that unfortunately,
costumes may not be worn by Guests ages 14 or older. Instead, I’d recommend putting together a creative Disney Bounding outfit. Disney Bounding involves dressing up in stylish, everyday outfit that’s inspired by a particular Disney Character. This is a great way to get in the spirit of the season while staying comfortable, and within the rules.
We should be hearing more about Oogie Boogie Bash ticket sales sometime in April, so stay tuned to the
Disney Parks Blog for the latest information.
Please stop by with any additional questions, Sarah! Wishing you a magical year ahead!
