Do you know if we have to be in a park before it closes to the rest of the public in order to take advantage of Extra Magic Hours or can we park hop from another park (with park hopper) any time before the EMH are over? We are staying at a Disney resort.

    Hi Mary,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us a question!

I’ve often found that there aren’t enough hours in my Disney Day, especially at night, which is why I love to take avantage of evening Extra Magic Hours whenever I’m staying in a Walt Disney World Resort hotel.

I’m happy to report that I’ve often arrived at a Theme Park after its “official” closing time, while Extra Magic Hours are in full swing, with absolutely no problems. In fact, during one of my visits last year, I saw Happily Ever After at Magic Kingdom Park and then zoomed over to Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park to enjoy Avatar Flight of Passage during Extra Magic Hours, which had already started by the time I got to that that park.

I hope my answer helps you plan your upcoming visit. Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions.

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
