I know park admission is free for my 1.5 year old but do I have to pay for him for character dining at the resort? We are planning on doing chef mickeys.

Hi Rosie! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

You must be excited to dine at Chef Mickey's in Disney's Contemporary Resort very soon! This dining location is one of my family's absolute favorites. In fact, we choose to enjoy breakfast there almost every trip we take to the Walt Disney World Resort. There is something very special about dining with Mickey Mouse and friends!

I am happy to say that in my experience, Guests ages 2-years-old and younger can eat at all-you-care-to-enjoy dining locations free of charge. Prices for buffet-style restaurants at the Walt Disney World Resort are typically broken up by ages 10+, ages 3-9, and under 3. You will want to let the Cast Member assisting you know that your little one is 1-year-old, so they are sure to charge you appropriately.

When you sit down for your meal, make sure to have your camera ready. The Characters will show up throughout your dining experience and you will want to capture all the fun!

Enjoy your visit, Rosie! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
