So I know in order to book more lightning lanes everyone has to tap into the first lightning lane, but what if your first ride is a rider switch ride will my five-year-old be eligible to book more lightning lanes or should you not do a rider switch ride 1st

    Hi there,

Thanks for stopping by planDisney again Whitney. And for trusting us with this important question about your Lightning Lanes. A great plan starts before you are purchasing Lightning Lane MultiPass (LLMP) for your visit.

Maximizing your Lighting Lanes (LL) for your park visits are important if you are an attraction heavy family like my own. Since you are in your rider switch era, you may want to wait on those attractions for your second or third initial LL. In my experience you would have to wait for the entire party to scan in to your first attraction in order to book your next LL. While this will happen at whichever time that you use it, the first one of the day gives you a chance at another popular attraction. Having your party all clear at once makes it easier to grab that next LL available.

Another planning tip for your LL and maximizing your time is checking to see what attractions are near your selections. Your LL will usually have a return time that has a pretty generous window. If you are able to hop on an attraction with a very low wait near your LL, you will be able to do two attractions inside of that one window. For example, if you are visiting EPCOT and have a LL for Soarin’ around the World, you might be able to board Living with the Land before or after your LL return time. These two attractions are in the same wonderful air conditioned building. If you are able to do this for three or four LL selections, that means you will have enjoyed six to eight attractions in one day. Including stopping to eat food, rest, and watch shows that is a very successful day in my opinion.

    Have a magical day,
