Hi Deanne!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! One of my favorite things to do while sailing with Captain Mickey is to watch the nighttime shows and
Broadway-style musicals while onboard! The production of each musical is magical. Every performer who we've seen onboard is incredible, too!
Thankfully, I've noticed over the years that the Broadway-style musicals are not changed super often. I love each show so much that I would be sad to see them go! With that being said, they are introducing a new show,
Beauty and the Beast, aboard the Disney Dream beginning this upcoming November! Have you seen each musical on each of the four Disney Cruise ships? That might be an exciting and fun way to see a variety of shows at sea! The best way to keep informed of any new Broadway-style musical or Disney Cruise Line announcement is to keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog!
You will also find variety acts performing in the evenings while onboard many itineraries, too! In my opinion, the variety acts and talented performers change much more frequently than the Broadway-style musicals. I've seen hypnotists, illusionists, comedians and celebrity musicians while sailing the high seas! They will often do a family-friendly show and then a performance for only adults later at night one evening of the voyage. We've even had performers board the ship during the latter half of our cruise while docked at ports of call when we've sailed on voyages 14 nights or longer.
Deanne, I know I was unable to give you an exact time frame for how often Disney Cruise Line changes their nighttime shows, but please keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for any announcements!
