Hello, I would like to know if October is a good time to go to the parks. is it hot and crowded? I went in January several years ago there was no crowds but was a bit chilly. Are the crowds about the same as January but warmer weather? Thanks.

    Hi Shane!

October is a great time of year to visit.  Generally speaking, it's not very crowded and the weather is nice, though it can still be hot in October!  What makes October such a great time to visit, besides the lower crowds, are two special events:  Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party and Epcot's International Food and Wine Festival.  Both are fabulous!

Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party is my favorite hard ticketed (meaning you need a ticket specifically for it) event in the Magic Kingdom.  The special parade and fireworks are awesome.  Also, I've never met anybody who didn't enjoy trick or treating in the Magic Kingdom.

If you enjoy eating, then you'll enjoy Epcot's International Food and Wine Festival.  Extra booths will be set up all around World Showcase, and guests can try delicious foods, wines, and beers from various countries around the world.  There are also special seminars and classes available during the festival.  It's definitely a "must do".

Enjoy planning and write back if you have any more questions!
