    Brian from CA Asked

I know that there is nothing official, but assuming Disneyland opens Sept 16th as rumored and I have a reservation at CA ADV hotel and I have non blackout date pass am I guaranteed to get in or may I be denied? How soon in adv will I know?

    Hey Brian!

    Thanks for stopping by planDisney!

Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa is one of my favorite Disney Hotels! My family loves it so much that we decided to make it one of our Disney Vacation Club Home Resorts! We love the craftsman style elegance of the resort along with all of the wonderful places to dine. One of my favorite things about the hotel is that it’s the only Disney Hotel in the US with its own entrance into a theme park. Talk about convenience!

What a dream it would be to have the parks open by the 16th! I’m totally hoping like you are but at this time there is still no word on when they will open or any official reopening date. The good news is that Disney recently said they are ready to open the parks whenever it is safe and guidelines from state officials are put in place for theme parks. The Disneyland Resort has been working closely with local and state officials so as soon as they get guidance and the go ahead, they are ready to go.

Having a hotel reservation at one of the fabulous hotels of the Disneyland Resort may or may not give you priority on getting a park reservation. At this time we just don’t know yet. No further details have been released whether an Annual Passholder, hotel guest or anyone else will have priority for a theme park reservation. The Disney Parks Blog will be the first to let you know of any park opening details, ticket sales and booking a park reservation. I find following them on Instagram is the easiest way to stay in the know!

Well Brian, I know it's not the news you were hoping to hear but with a little bit of patience and Pixie Dust we’ll all get to enjoy the parks again.

Remember, always believe in the Magic!
