    Hello Moms I know nothing about Magicbands. I am booking a room only. Will I still receive bands or do I have to pay upfront for park tickets to receive them. If they do not come until 3 weeks before trip, how do you link fastpasses and dining reservations”

    Hi, Tracey! To me, MagicBands are the coolest aspect of MyMagic+. These colorful devices unlock a whole new world of theme park planning. With one flick of your wrist, you can be instantly connected to your My Disney Experience account, which houses all of your Advance Dining Reservations, FastPass+ selections and Memory Maker.

    All Walt Disney World Resort hotel Guests, whether you have booked a room-only reservation or a Magic Your Way package, will be issued a complimentary MagicBand. Your MagicBands can be customized before your trip if you link your reservation to your My Disney Experience account. A magical package containing your MagicBands will arrive around three weeks before you begin your vacation. However, you can begin planning your trip and making all FastPass+ selections or Advance Dining Reservations well before you receive this package. As I mentioned earlier, the MagicBands link you to your My Disney Experience account, which houses all of your plans. You can make plans months in advance or even the day of, and they will all magically appear when you scan your MagicBand. Isn't that amazing? You did mention theme park tickets - while they are not required to receive a MagicBand, you will need to have theme park tickets linked to your My Disney Experience account in order to make FastPass+ selections.
