Hi, Jim! Thank you for bringing us this great question!
First, congratulations on 35 yEARS! I just love a real-life “Happily Ever After”! My husband and I recently celebrated our 10 yEAR wedding anniversary at Walt Disney World Resort and on a Disney Cruise, it was nothing short of magical! I always suggest to friends and family to make their Walt Disney World Resort reservation as soon as they know that they will be traveling, and the reservations are available to the public. This way, you can make your deposit and make payments leading up to your vacation. In the past, we’ve experienced exactly what you are describing: we made our reservation and a Special Offer was released afterward. In some cases, that Special Offer is applicable directly to your current reservation, in other cases, you MAY have to cancel your current reservation and make a new one. We have experienced both cases and it was very simple to apply by calling a friendly Cast Member. If you are working with a Travel Agent, then you would make the switch with their help. Keep in mind that sometimes, dates, Disney Resort hotel availability and other factors may prevent you from keeping the exact same vacation details.
I know you have already started planning and probably have ideas to add a bit of extra Pixie Dust to your vacation, but I would love to suggest that you take a look at the
Enchanting Extras Collection, which includes special dinners, tours, and special events! They come in a variety of price ranges for every budget and will create memories that last a lifetime! I was recently able to experience the Caring for Giants Tour with my fellow Moms Panelists and it was a “larger than life” adventure!
I hope this answers your question and that you have a fantastic time planning your anniversary voyage! See you real soon!
Jen
