Hi Barbara!
Welcome aboard! How thrilling that you will be setting sail in just a few weeks. Since you've chosen a
Very Merrytime Cruise for your vacation, you'll be experiencing a few extra doses of pixie dust. I always say that holidays are more magical when spent at sea!
You are correct that selfie sticks are not on the
list of Disney Cruise Line’s prohibited items. Be mindful that you would not be able to take it on the
AquaDuck or be allowed to film any of the shows in the
Walt Disney Theatre. As always, you should use any photo equipment in a responsible way and not in a manner that interferes with other Guests. (I know I didn't have to say that last part since you would already do that!)
With a selfie stick, you should be able to snag the most epic selfies with
all the characters. Let me assure you, the way that they are staging these character photos onboard is very creative and in such a way to get some really great images with them! Currently, Guests are instructed to stand on the areas marked with a circle, and at that point they can remove their masks for the photo. But the characters are doing an awesome job engaging with Guests, especially the princesses. I was amazed at all the meaningful conversations I witnessed between them and many families on the Disney Dream this month. The kids were enthralled and mesmerized!
Thank you for cruising by to SEA us, Barbara! If you have any other last minute questions, please let us know. Have a holly jolly voyage with Captain Mickey!
