I know no resort is "perfect" however having a hard time deciding between Saratoga and OKW, what would someone choose? it is just me, 21, and my mom for 7 days. We are used to value resorts, so we have no idea what to expect

    Hi Debbie!

My mom and I are taking a "girl's only" trip in September - such a great idea!  Without a doubt, I recommend the Saratoga Springs Resort.  Not only is it brand new, but it is within walking distance to Downtown Disney.  My family stayed in a two bedroom condo a couple of years ago and loved it so much that my mom and I are returning to stay in a studio condo!  Given the fact that you won't have any kiddos with you, may I suggest that you stay in the Congress Park section?  This is the area closest to Downtown Disney and most rooms here even have great views of all of the action.  It is so fabulous to have all of the shopping and restaurants practically at your doorstep!

Saratoga Springs also has a great spa and pool area.  The counter service area is much smaller compared to value resorts, but as you mentioned, no resort is perfect.  I think that Saratoga Springs will be the perfect place for your mother-daughter getaway.  Love to hear from you again!
