I would like to know if New Year's Eve would be a good day for my family to visit the Magic Kingdom? More specifically the evening time. Was not sure if things are extra special on that day.

    Hi, Nathania!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I think your family would have an amazing and memorable time ringing in the New Year at the Walt Disney World Resort!

Special fireworks shows are typically held at Magic Kingdom Park, Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios on New Year’s Eve, so no matter which park you choose, you’ll be able to welcome 2015 with a bang! Epcot can be an especially good choice on New Year’s Eve because the park’s large size and spacious walking paths seem to absorb heavier crowds best. There are usually two showings of IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth on New Year’s Eve, so you could plan to see the first show and have time to explore World Showcase and enjoy the fireworks display before the countdown to midnight.

Keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for details about the New Year’s Eve events and special extras planned at Walt Disney World as the holiday season approaches. In the past, specific plans were announced around mid-October, and highlights are sure to include extra-special holiday fireworks, live music, unique dining opportunities and a variety of entertainment.

I hope this helps, Nathania, and that you have a perfectly pixie-dusted visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth in December! Please feel free to ask me any other questions you may have as your planning continues.

    Wishing you magic,
    Courtney
