what do you know about new rules that EC private or rented cannot go in the rides at MK.I have been told the ADA won't allow it and told that the ride area cannot fit them.Has Disney changed it rule because of the extralarge rental that are show up.

    Hi Hollis!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

If I understand your questions correctly, you are asking about ECV rentals at the Walt Disney World Resort. The Walt Disney World Resort has a variety of Services for Guests with Disabilities including Electric Conveyance Vehicle (ECV) and Wheelchair Rentals. Although there used to be a few featured providers, there is now one Disney Featured Provider, ScooterBug. Guests with personal ECVs or wheelchairs or other rentals may still use those, just check the Property Rules for size requirements and your rental company for pickup and delivery options.

If you are using a custom ECV or wheelchair that does not conform to the size requirements, I recommend that you contact Disability Services via phone at 407-560-2547 or email at disability.services@disneyparks.com and speak to someone directly. They would need more information about your specific ECV or wheelchair. When we have used Disability Services, the Cast members have been quite helpful and our time in the parks has been even more magical with their assistance!

I also suggest that you review the disability guides for each park - Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney's Hollywood Studios, and Disney's Animal Kingdom. They provide helpful information related to access for rides and attractions. Some attractions do require that the guest transfer from the ECV or wheelchair to ride. Review the Services for Guests with Mobility Disabilities to see which rides will allow guests to remain in the ECV or wheelchair.

Hollis, if I misunderstood your questions, please stop by again. One of us will be happy to try to assist!

    Magic and memories,
