Hi Moms. I know about the new FastPass system but was wondering if the old system of taking tickets out of the machines still exists as well. Also, if I make a FP reservation for my son and he chooses not 2 go, how long after a no-show can I book another?

    Hello Sonia,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Disney's new FastPass+ system has completely replaced the "Legacy" FastPass (i.e. paper tickets) system. There are no longer any machines distributing FastPasses for individual attractions.

My fellow panelist Sarah has explained the ins and outs of how the FastPass+ system works for tickets with the Park Hopper option. The short answer to your question is that Guests can make 3 FastPass+ selections for one Theme Park, for each day that they have a valid Theme Park Ticket. If a Guest wants to Park hop or make an additional FastPass+ selection, he or she will need to visit a FastPass+ kiosk in order to do so.

In your case, if your son doesn't use one of his FastPass+ selections, he might not be able to make another one to "replace" it right away. He'll need to visit one of the FastPass+ kiosks at the Theme Park that he'll be visiting that day to make an additional selection, once he has used his 3 FastPass+ selections or once they've expired. Should he require additional assistance, there will be a Cast Member present at the kiosk to help him make his next FastPass+ selection.

As always, if you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to come back and visit us.

    Have a Magical Day!
