Hello.. I would like to know how much I need to save up to be able to take my daughter to Disney... We live in Uganda

    Hi Ashura! Welcome to planDisney!

I am so happy to hear that you are considering making a trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth with your daughter. It has been quite a few years, but I once traveled to Kampala and I fell in love with the people there. Saying that I felt welcomed by everyone I met would be an understatement. I made so many memories and it holds a very special place in my heart. Let me be the first to say, "welcome" to you!

There are a lot of variables that go into pricing a Walt Disney World Resort vacation. I tend to use $5000.00 (USD) as a baseline, but that number can be much more or less depending on where you stay, time of year, how many are traveling with you, how many and what kind of Walt Disney World theme park tickets you need, transportation, food budget, and extra spending money for souvenirs. And this does not include flights which is a big-budget item traveling from Uganda!

I recommend visiting the main Walt Disney World website and pricing out different options of hotel and ticket vacation packages. You can even browse restaurant menus to get an idea of how much you will plan to spend on food. You can also take a peek at the Special Offers that are available. This will give you a better idea of exactly how much you need to save to stay where you want, when you want, and for how long you want! Then, start saving up so you can make lots of special memories with your daughter!

I hope this helps, Ashura! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
