Hi Mike,
Welcome to planDisney! How exciting to be planning a trip to the Walt Disney World Resort!
When making
vacation package and
advanced dining reservations, you do need to include everyone in your party, so include the 2-year old. As you make those plans, I am happy to hear that you are making advanced dining reservations. I do hope you plan to do a few character dining experiences. Our favorite is
Topolino's Terrace - Flavors of the Riviera. Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Donald and Daisy Duck are super cute in their artist outfits.
With a little one, I hope you have a plan for afternoon nap/rest time. When our girls were younger, we went back to the resort hotel room every day for rest time. And, I learned to plan a rest day in the middle of our trip so that everyone can sleep late and enjoy the pool. We always need that rest day or half-day to recover from the first few busy days of our vacation.
I hope that you have reviewed the
Attractions List to check the height requirements for each ride. We checked before we brought our girls on their first trip to the Walt Disney World Resort. We wanted to manage expectations and avoid rides that they were not tall enough to experience.
Keep your eye on the
operational updates since policies and procedures could change. Pay particular attention to the
dining updates since additional dining locations could open by the time of your visit. My family is waiting on an opening date for
Space 220 in EPCOT. We are so excited for this experience!
Mike, I trust you will get those reservations made. Keep up the excellent planning!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
