I know I need park admission for a dessert party, but do I have to have purchased daily admission before booking dessert party? I know we will want to go to one, but not sure how many days we will be in the parks so will not have purchased the admission.

Hello Sarah, and thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

The sweetest way I have found to end a magical day at a Disney Theme Park is with a dessert party. I have attended a few and so far the Frozen Ever After Dessert Party at World Showcase is my favorite. The combination of sweet treats, fireworks and a VIP viewing area are at the top of my list.

You can make reservations for the dessert party of your choice up to 180 days in advance of the event. I have noticed that availability is posted 90-120 days in advance. If you do not see the party you are looking for, keep checking back closer to your event. It is also good to note that schedules are always subject to change. If you have questions, it is always best to speak to a Cast Member. You are not required to have a valid theme park admission ticket connected to your My Disney Experience account at the time of booking. You are correct in knowing that a valid theme park ticket is required for admission to the event.

It has always been a dream of mine to experience every dessert party at least once. You will fabulous time at the Happily Ever After Dessert Party in the Magic Kingdom, Rivers of Light Dessert Party at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Fantasmic! Dessert Party or Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular Dessert Party at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. It is a good thing that calories do not count when you are on vacation.

    See ya real soon,
    Andrea
