Hello, Deborah!
Oh boy, I'm glad you sailed to me with your question! I want to make sure that you are as prepared as possible to board your Disney Cruise, and that includes having the correct
Travel Documentation for the big day.
If you are planning to sail with a birth certificate, please note that it must be an original state-issued birth certificate. A copy or picture of the birth certificate will not be acceptable. Please take a moment to look over the
Travel Documentation information page on the Disney Cruise Line website for more details about what documentation is appropriate for the members of your travel party and your specific itinerary.
Please be sure to have your travel documentation with you in your carry-on bag as you approach the port. You do not want it to be in the luggage that gets handed over to the porters and then delivered to your room. You'll need to have your travel documentation with you to check in at the terminal.
I also like to keep swimsuits, hats, sunglasses, and sunscreen with me in my carry-on bag, in case my family wants to enjoy the
pools, slides, and water fun shortly after boarding. Some guests even wear their swimsuits under their clothing to be among the first to swim!
After you board the ship, be sure to grab a bite to eat or a snack to tide you over till dinner. I usually can't resist a soft-serve ice cream poolside to kick off my Disney Cruise vacation.
Deborah, if you have more questions, my pals and I will be here to help. Cruise to planDisney any time!
Happy Planning,
Adrianna
