Cheers, Carole! Thanks for stopping in to get an answer to this very important question. I appreciate someone who likes to plan ahead for the happiest hour of the day.
Over the years, some Guests have used the monorail as a designated driver by hopping aboard for travel to the lounges and/or restaurants in monorail resort hotels (Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and Disney’s Contemporary Resort). Right now, though, there are
health and safety measures in place at Walt Disney World. While Guests normally are free to visit hotels within the Disney Resorts Collection to explore, right now only registered Guests and Guests with dining reservations are permitted to visit. With that policy in place, you would be prohibited from touring the monorail resorts where you are not a registered Guest, unless, of course, you have dining reservations.
Have you considered a similar adventure at Disney Springs? Though you’d travel on foot instead of by rail, there are a number of great spots to sit a spell and enjoy a cocktail.
Paradiso 37, Taste of the Americas has an especially nice patio.
Wine Bar George – A Restaurant & Bar and
Raglan Road Irish Pub and Restaurant are other favorites. At the end of the fun, you could travel by bus (or your favorite ride-share service) back to your resort.
I hope that helps, Carole. And I hope you enjoy a beverage or two for me!
