Hey there, hi there, Kensie! Welcome to planDisney. We're so glad you are here!
You are correct that when a
Disney Military Promotional Ticket is activated and scanned for the first visit, the military member or spouse must be present and show a valid military ID, and they must be using one of those tickets as well. After that first day of use, the ticket does not need to be presented with the ID or military member again. As a military spouse, my family takes advantage of these tickets every year they are offered. I went with my children and activated these tickets together, but a few months later my daughter was able to meet up with friends at the park and use her ticket just fine.
Just remember that as soon as you have purchased your tickets from the military ticket office and have decided on a date, it's important to link these tickets to your Disney account. Next, you will want to make
theme park ticket reservations for these tickets. Currently, you need both a ticket and a theme park ticket reservation to enter the parks. If plans change, don't worry, you can cancel reservations and rebook for new dates as often as you need during the validity of the ticket.
Kensie, thanks so much for stopping by with your question. You know where to find us if you have any other planning questions!
