I love that Walt Disney World Resort offers incredible savings for U.S. military personnel and their families. As a military spouse, I've been able to take advantage of these offers, allowing me to visit The Most Magical Place on Earth multiple times.
The
Military Salute Tickets offer incredible savings that my family and I have enjoyed. I especially loved that Disney introduced the Disney Celebrates America Military Salute Ticket this year. Having access to Walt Disney World theme parks multiple times throughout the year at such a great price is outstanding.
When activating the Military Salute Tickets, if they were not purchased directly from Shades of Green, the military member must be present upon first entry to the theme parks. I went through this process myself in February and was able to activate our tickets with my military spouse ID at the
Magic Kingdom Park ticket counter in front of the theme park. Each theme park has a ticket counter where you can activate your tickets with a
valid military ID. You can also do this at the
Disney Ticket Center located at
Disney Springs. It's a super simple and quick process. I always have the ticket confirmation or the purchase receipt, just in case.
After activating the tickets the first time, I was no longer required to be present with that individual for them to gain access to each theme park. I also did not have to enter the theme parks with them. If the tickets were purchased directly from Shades of Green, they come already activated, so please keep that in mind. Bonus tip: Make sure you have a
theme park reservation, as it's required for Military Salute Tickets.
