Do you know when Mickey's Backyard BBQ will reopen?

Howdy, Alycia! It's a real treat to see you back here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with another great question. Let's catch up with what's happening over in the wilderness!

Mickey and the gang gave one last send-off to Mickey's Backyard BBQ this past New Year's Eve to make way for some exciting new things coming to Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. As I write this, Disney hasn't announced plans for bringing the BBQ back, so we'll just have to stay tuned to see what happens next.

But never fear, Alycia! There are lots of ways to get your BBQ fix at the Walt Disney World Resort!

For frontier fun with down-home vittles, you can't go wrong with the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue right there at "the Fort." It's sure to get your hands clappin' and your toes tappin'! For the same kind of incredible food in a more laid-back atmosphere, check out Trail's End Restaurant just next door. It's an all-you-care-to-enjoy buffet with country favorites that'll knock your socks off!

Another popular spot for delectable BBQ is The Polite Pig at Disney Springs. (I hear the BBQ cauliflower is to die for.) If it's an upbeat dinner show you're looking for, head over to Disney's Polynesian Village Resort for the island-flavored Spirit of Aloha. It's a feast for the senses and the taste buds!

I hope this helps you have a rip-roarin' dining experience, Alycia. Please stop by and see us again if you have any more questions!

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
