I know the maximum table size is 8 at table service restaurants. What would we do if we have 8 on a disney dining plan and one under the age of 3. Could we book a table of 8 and have the under 3 sat on someone's knee?

Hi Sarah and welcome to planDisney.

I am very happy to be discussing two of my favourite subjects with you, today - visiting Walt Disney World and food!

There are so many amazing dining locations to choose from with mouth-watering dishes offered to suit everyone's taste. Although my family have our favourites, we always make a point of visiting some new restaurants during each and every trip. There is never a shortage of new places to try!

When making dining reservations at Table-Service restaurants, you do need to include all members of your travel party, even if one of those is under the age of 3 and will be eating off an adults plate. This is to ensure that there is adequate space provided for you to enjoy your meal at each restaurant.

The good news is however, that it is possible to book dining reservations for up to 20 Guests online so, it shouldn't be a problem securing a table for the 9 of you.

As you are a large group, I would highly recommend making your dining reservations as soon as you are able to. Dining reservations can be made online at 11:00am (UK time), 60 days in advance.
I would recommend doing this via the Walt Disney World website as when you go to make dining reservations via the My Disney Experience App, it re-directs you to the website, anyway.

If you would prefer, you can also make dining reservations by calling the UK Dining Reservations telephone line - lines open at 12:00noon.

As an added bonus, Sarah, if you have booked to stay at a Disney Resort hotel, you can make dining reservations, for up to the first 10-nights of your stay, once you reach 60 days out from your arrival date.

I hope that this information has been of use and that you have the BEST time at Walt Disney World, next year. If we can be of any other help with the planning of your trip, please feel free to re-visit us, here at planDisney - we would love to assist you.

Wishing you a magical holiday filled with memories which will last a lifetime!
