Hi there, Edward!
There are three ways - aside from the wedding, which you have already mentioned - that a Guest can expect to meet Mickey and Minnie:
1 - Character dining experiences. Many restaurants on Disney property feature Disney favorites. Mickey and Minnie, for example, can be found together at Chef Mickey's in Disney's Contemporary Resort, Cape May Cafe at Disney's Beach Club. You'll need to reserve your meal in advance. Start making reservations 180 days in advance of your visit by calling (407) WDW-DINE, or
by booking online.
2 - Character meet-and-greets: Throughout each Park, you will find a number of opportunities to meet Mickey and Minnie. These are handled in a very organized fashion, and will allow your granddaughter to have a few minutes of one-on-one time with each character. You will want to grab a Times Guide when you arrive at each Park to find out where and when you can find your favorites.
3 - Book a party: This two hour birthday celebration at the Peter Pan themed Never Land Club at Disney's Polynesian Resort includes choice of pizza or chicken tenders with French fries or chicken tenders with macaroni and cheese, juice boxes/sodas, a birthday cake, a craft/activity, choice of Disney video, and free play video games. One character will come visit your Guests during two 30-minute sets. This package will cost $69.23 per person. For $400 dollars more, a second character can be added. You can book this package up to 90 days in advance by calling 407-WDW-BDAY.
Have a wonderful time!
See you later, celebrator,
-Deborah B.
