Jambo, Stephanie!
Thanks so much for bringing your question to planDisney –– I'm glad you stopped by! It sounds like you're just a few days away from arriving at Walt Disney World Resort. The final countdown is officially on! As you're checking items off your last-minute to-do list, be sure to open up your
My Disney Experience mobile app, tap on "Future Plans", and make sure that you've booked a
Disney Park Pass reservation for each day that you'll be visiting the parks. Remember, you'll need both valid admission
and a theme park reservation to enter one of the four Walt Disney World theme parks. Once you've confirmed that those reservations are in place, you'll be all set for your magical adventure to begin!
While there are
tons of perks that come with a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel stay, one of my favorites is that each and every day, Disney Resort Guests can currently enter
any of the four Walt Disney World theme parks, up to 30 minutes before they open to the public, with
Early Theme Park Entry. How cool is that?! To do this, all you'll need is a valid ticket and a Disney Park Pass reservation for the park you plan to visit. Once you arrive at the park, Cast Members will need to scan your MagicBand or
Disney MagicMobile pass to confirm that you're a Resort Guest –– after that, you'll be free to enjoy your
extra magical morning.
30 minutes might not sound like a heap of time, but since you'll typically find smaller crowds during this time, it's possible to cover a lot of ground. In fact, during our recent, early-morning adventure at Disney's Hollywood Studios, my family was able to jump on
Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway,
Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith, and we were just boarding the elevator for
The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror when those 30 minutes ran out. It was the perfect start to our day! However, if you're like us and attractions are your top priority during Early Theme Park Entry, I suggest arriving at
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park before those 30 minutes actually begin. Often, Cast Members will allow Resort Guests to enter the park and join a queue before the 30-minute window actually begins –– that way, you'll be able to enjoy your first ride as early as possible and move on to the next one, paving the way for maximum fun!
Thanks for visiting planDisney, Stephanie. I hope this helped to answer your question and I'm wishing you a wild time (and plenty of pixie dust) during your upcoming visit to Walt Disney World Resort!
See Ya Real Soon,
Amy
