How do I know if my magic bands from a previous visit are linked to my upcoming visit

Hiya, Kris, and thanks for dropping us a line here at planDisney!

Ah MagicBands. In my opinion, one of the most convenient pieces of technology ever Imagineered as part of a visit to Walt Disney World Resort - oh, and this year, coming to Disneyland Resort! I love how when I touch down in Orlando, the first thing I do - even before turning my phone off airplane mode and before I unfasten my safety belt - is put my MagicBand on! It truly makes me feel like my my Walt Disney World Resort vacation is starting!

But which one to choose? Well, to this point I've managed to keep from sliding down the slippery slope of collecting too many MagicBands...I guess that's one advantage of being a Disney Cruise Line specialist! I think I only have six...and how did I know that? Why, I checked My Disney Experience - I think I'll go with the yellow one...wait...I have TWO yellow ones?! Well, now we're BOTH asking the same question, Kris!

Luckily, all you have to do is log into My Disney Experience on your computer, and select "My MagicBands and Cards." From there, it should be a quick scroll down to the "Manage MagicBands and Cards" area where you should see your selected character in that section - as well as a little triangle to open your MagicBand history. The best part is, ANY of the MagicBands you see there listed as "active" will work for your upcoming visit - just be sure to match up the codes listed to those on the back of each band!

So, whether you're like me and have just a few, or you've got gadgets and gizmos aplenty like Ariel, now you should know which you can choose from to sport this March! Now, each member of your party can do the same and you'll be on your way! If you can't find any of the active MagicBands, don't worry: there's a few options! You can order new MagicBands from a selection on the site (for a special pre-arrival price!) for anyone linked to your reservation.

Or, have you heard about the ...well...MAGIC of Disney MagicMobile service? MagicMobile takes the convenience of a MagicBand and puts it right in your compatible mobile device! And let's be honest, if there's one thing we all usually bring to the parks, it's our phones! The best part is it's incredibly easy to link your tickets, passes, reservations and other information using the steps in the My Disney Experience app - and once you've set it up, the magic is in the palm of your hand! From entering theme parks (with park reservation and valid admission) to connecting Disney PhotoPass, and even accessing your room and charging to your account while at the resort, MagicMobile takes MagicBands off your wrist and into your device!

Well Kris, I hope that gives you a heading (sorry, nautical terms die hard for this castaway...) for how to make sure your MagicBands or MagicMobile are all set for your trip! I wish you and your companions a truly Magical vacation! If you have any other questions as you continue planning, we'll all be ready to lend a hand here at planDisney!

There ain't nothin' gonna stop you now, you're almost there!
