Hey there, hi there, ho there, Heather! It's a pleasure to welcome you back to planDisney! We always love to see our friends come by for a chat about all things Disney. Time to "spring" into action and get you set for your
April vacation to the Walt Disney World Resort!
I'm the designated stuff-carrier in my family, so I'm also a huge fan of
MagicBands. It's so much easier to just tap that little band on my wrist than to dig through a full backpack for my wallet or a ticket card. Cute and convenient! As a
Disney Resort hotel guest, you can order MagicBands for your traveling party at a discounted price, but you're right, the designs can be a bit limited. I have seen the designs offered change frequently, though, so you might want to check back again before going ahead and
ordering MagicBands from shopDisney or waiting to purchase them at Walt Disney World. If you still don't see anything that fits the bill for you,
linking your purchased MagicBands is as easy as scarfing down a Mickey Premium Bar on a Florida summer day!
To link MagicBands you bought separately from your Resort hotel reservation, you'll first need to log in to your
My Disney Experience account. Once you're in, go to the "My Disney Experience" tab in the upper right corner of your screen. Scroll down to "My MagicBands and Cards," then go all the way to the bottom of the page to "Link a MagicBand." Click on "Link," then enter the number you find on the back of the band, and assign it to a person in your party. Follow the prompts to link the rest of your MagicBands, and you'll be good to go. To double-check them, go back to "MagicBands and Cards," and you should see each of the MagicBands you just assigned. And that's it! Your MagicBands will then "automagically" link up to all of your vacation plans from Theme Park tickets to Resort hotel reservations.
I hope this helps you put the finishing touches on your plans for an amazing Walt Disney World Resort vacation, Heather. Be sure to come see us again if you have any more questions!
Keep Disney Dreaming,
Kathy K.
