Hi Jennifer, welcome back to planDisney! I see that you've visited us many times in the past, and it's truly an honor to have you return!
I just want to start by saying that I am a huge fan of
MagicBands. Our family rotates our Disney vacations between the
Disneyland Resort and
Walt Disney World Resort. We absolutely LOVE using Magicbands at Walt Disney World Resort and have been waiting patiently (okay maybe not that patiently…) for Magicbands to come to the Disneyland Resort.
Disneyland Resort currently does not have a Magicband equivalent and your Walt Disney World Resort Magicbands cannot be used at the Disneyland Resort. BUT I do have some good news! It was
announced at the recent Destination D23 event, that the next-generation
MagicBand+ wearable technology, will be coming to the Disneyland Resort in 2022! This is going to be the latest and greatest in Magicband technology, and I can't wait for it to finally arrive at the Disneyland Resort! We should be hearing more details in the coming months, so be sure to follow the
Disney Parks Blog for more information!
In the meantime, I recommend downloading the
Disneyland Mobile app for your upcoming trip. The Disneyland Mobile app allows you to place
Mobile Food Orders, shop using the new
Merchandise Mobile Checkout feature (available at select merchandise shops), and use the new
Disney Genie and Disney Genie+ services!
