Greetings Melissa and welcome to planDisney!
You have made two great choices of places to stay on your trip to the magic! I absolutely love
Disney’s Port Orleans Resort-French Quarter and
Disney’s Beach Club Villas! The double dose of beignets and beaches are going to be amazing!
Melissa, when you are staying at two Disney Resort Collection hotels, it is a pretty simple process to transfer your luggage!
When you wake up from your Disney tired final night at the French Quarter, call
Bell Services and let them know that you are heading for the Beach Club for the rest of your vacation and how many bags you need to have transferred. You will need to wait with your bags in your room and be there when they are picked up. You could also take them on your own down to Bell Services at the French Quarter and they will take care of them for you there! I always take a picture of the bag tag that they give you with the number of bags listed and the destination resort, just in case I misplace the tag and need to look it up when I get to my final destination after an amazing day at one of the theme parks.
When you arrive at the Beach Club and are ready to check in to your new home, just call down to Bell Services and they will deliver your bags to your room, or you can stop by and pick them up on your way to your new and exciting second leg of your adventure!
Melissa, during your stay at the Beach Club, I highly recommend getting reservations for a meal at
Beaches & Cream Soda Shop! It is my absolute favorite dining venue at Walt Disney World! I would suggest a
Beaches & Cream Grilled Cheese sandwich with gooey melted cheese and a side of onion rings! Make sure you save some room for a No Way Jose! The peanut butter and hot fudge combined with chocolate and vanilla ice cream is to die for! If you have a large enough group with a large enough appetite, you have got to attempt the Kitchen Sink! Our family has been able to drain two kitchen sinks thanks in part to my son-in-law who loves his ice cream and the whole can!
Melissa, enjoy your split stay trip and don’t forget to enjoy a Mickey Bar or two!
