    I know you love Mickey's VMC party. However, after the last date of it, Dec. 19th -the activities from it-parade, shows and fireworks will go on the following week leading up to Christmas? If so, what would we miss if we chose not to do it? Thank you

    Hi Angela!  It has taken me a few days to research your question and I am afraid I still don't have a definitive answer. I have made several phone calls and some emails and it seems everyone has a different opinion about what actually happens in the park the few days before Christmas.

    The consensus from various cast members is that the special fireworks are strictly for the Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party.  Once this party is finished for the holiday season the guests in the Magic Kingdom will see the regular Wishes show.  The entertainment and parade are both specifically for the special event party as well but many of the cast members I spoke with believe that some of the parade floats would be incorporated into the regular Magic Kingdom parade. It would definitely not be the same parade as you would see for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party.

    The party itself is a great time to visit the Magic Kingdom and enjoy the holiday spirit.The lines for the popular attractions are generally much shorter during this event and the cookie and hot cocoa stops are sure to get even Scrooge in the spirit!  If you are a guest from the southern states you will also enjoy the snow falling on Main Street....those from the north will hurry on by!

    I recommend the special event parties in the Magic Kingdom for the entertainment and the atmosphere.
