Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Seth! Childcare is finally something my family could take part in during our last vacation, since our kids are old enough! The ages three/four and up threw us for a loop a few years.
Lilo’s Playhouse was an amazingly convenient, super fun way for a kiddo to pass the late afternoon and evening hours. More importantly, it gave parents a night off to enjoy a restaurant, theme park or relaxing experience at a Disney Resort. Now that Lilo’s, Simba’s Cubhouse, and Sandcastle Club have closed, there are fewer options available, but still a good few! You can find the new
Pixar Play Zone at Disney’s Contemporary Resort Hotel, which is easily accessed by the monorail line if you are at
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. It serves families with kids aged 4-12 from the hours of 5pm-10:30pm. My son adored getting to play Space Ranger, learn from Woody and Jessie and create his own car to race in Radiator Springs. Topping off the night is an Incredibles Dance Party that was the talk of the Play Zone. If you think your kids would enjoy this Pixar Play opportunity, you can make reservations by calling a Cast Member at (407) 824-5437. I hope that Disney expands the childcare options like the Pixar Play Zone; my son is already asking to go back! You can also find
Kids Nite Out Babysitting services for your littlest Mouseketeers at (407) 828-0920.
If I can help you choose some adults only activities like Atlantic Dance Hall or the late show at the River Roost, please let me know, You’ve got a friend in me! ~ Lindsey P.
