Well hello there Tara and a very Royal welcome to planDisney!
As I always say before heading out on any adventure - it's always good to know exactly where you're going first, and there's no exception when it comes to the complimentary
Walt Disney World Resort Bus Transportation.
You'll be happy to hear that on my most recent visit, I took advantage of internal shuttles to get between dining and recreation locations at the
Walt Disney World Resort Hotel where I was staying and can confirm that the buses departing from the stops located around
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort will often be marked as "Internal Resort Shuttle" or may just appear as "Resort Shuttle" displayed on the front. That said, I have had experiences where sometimes the destination might not be displayed and transportation offerings are subject to change without prior notice in case of any route diversions, so it's always worth checking and confirming with the driver before you board.
In my personal opinion, the Internal Resort Shuttle serves an excellent purpose of being a convenient dedicated service for Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort guests, as long as you're not in any particular time crunch. Getting between destinations around the expansive resort by bus may be more of a meandering, leisurely ride to each of the villages than a very direct mode of transportation. (In our experience, it's almost as though the internal shuttles get into the spirit and operate on "island time" and we've often beaten them to Old Port Royale to
grab a meal at Centertown Market by taking the bridges through Caribbean Cay!)
I also recommend that you take advantage of the incredibly themed
Fuentes del Morro pool for a splash of swashbuckling fun before it's due to undergo refurbishment in 2024, and be sure to check out the
planDisney Pocket Guide to Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort while you're at it!
Like embarking on any seafaring vessel setting sail in the Caribbean, here's hoping that the buses you need will take you to wherever you need to go efficiently and without diverting off course. Come on back to planDisney any time to
ask me any more questions ahead of your next adventure!
May your ships always sail to the right ports!
