Hi, Marilyn!
I’m so glad to hear you’re thinking of planning a visit to the Disneyland Resort! While there are several hotels in the area to choose from, I recommend staying at a Disneyland Resort Hotel because each of the three has its own unique benefits. Paradise Pier Hotel is typically the least expensive, and the rooms have a fun, beach-inspired decor. The Disneyland Hotel rooms are quite large and have been renovated to include modern furnishings with a touch of Disney magic. The carved wooden headboards are truly unique, and with the flip of a switch, fiber-optic fireworks glow while a familiar song plays! Disney’s Grand Californian Resort & Spa exemplifies the Craftsman-style era in its architecture and décor, and it is the closest to the theme parks with a private entrance into Disney California Adventure Park. As a Guest of a Disneyland Resort Hotel, you’ll be entitled to Extra Magic Hours, and you’ll never have to leave the magic during your stay!
Vacation packages from the Walt Disney Travel Company include park tickets and a stay at one of the Disneyland Resort Hotels or one of the more than 40 Good Neighbor Hotels located near the resort, in addition to other perks and surprises. Prices vary based on the time of year you visit and the current promotions being offered, so it’s best to call the Walt Disney Travel Company at (714) 520-5050 for more information and assistance with selecting the package that’s best for your family. You can also get an idea of how much a room-only reservation would cost by visiting the Disneyland Resort Website and entering your travel dates and party size.
I hope this helps, Marilyn, and that you have a perfectly pixie-dusted vacation to “The Happiest Place on Earth!”
Wishing you magic,
Courtney
